The Bloggers

I dont usually post my GlobalVoices posts here, but I will do it this time because it is dedicated to the fellow bloggers all over this blogsphere.

My last piece on GlobalVoices was dedicated to the very personal bits that makes up this amazing blogsphere of Syrians.

Read it here.

-Lujayn, also working in Dubai..
-Golaniya, a Syrian student studying in Lebanon..
-“Kato”, a Syrian living in Brussels..
-Omar, a Syrian living in Canada..
-Wassim, a Syrian living in London..

can you see the pattern? not really a Syrian blogsphere is it? more of a syrian expats blogsphere :)

lak ya zalameh, I am so flattered by the mention, thank you Yazan...

And btw, is 'expat' a permanent title? Today I am an expat tomorrow I might not be so any more, but then I will continue to be Syrian, and hopefully a blogger...

Yazan, thanks a million! I'm really flattered. Btw, you can leave out the quotation marks;-)

Annie, je lis votre blog aussi, depuis longtemps en fait et avec grand plaisir. J'ai même écouté le programme radio dans lequel vous avez participé (y a bien longtemps) et passé votre url à des personnes au salon de vacances l'année passée.

Expat or no expat... I guess I'll have to dig up some time to work on that bloody profile.

I have no idea who is that!

It is a duck.

Not just that, Most of these "expats" are people who had spent a substantial time of their lives in syria. and even if they didnt, they relate to it so strongly that they wanna write under the title of Syrian. Thats enough for me.

Fixed. :)

Yes its a clearly an outlet. a vent people can channel their true thoughts and communicate their ideas without having to look over their shoulders. Freedom of information is certainly the way forward and brings like minded punters together. Syrians need to find counter the bad press they get in from mainstream media. Keep up the posting and the blogging alive guys!!!
