"To the impartial eye, the world not only seems an unlikely one-off phenomenon, but a constant strain on reason. If reason exists, that is, if a neutral reason exists. So speaks the voice from within. So speaks Joker's voice." - Jostein Gaarder

So after all is said and done,

Saddam is sentenced to death.

I donno how to comment on this, I always lined against Death Penalty, I've always looked at it as more crueler than Murder, exactly because It's a legalized murder.

I donno, a couple of tears came off when I read it... not for Saddam, per se... but for Iraq, for Syria, for all of us humans... So they're gonna hang a dictator, people will have their revenge, some will look back with nostalgia to the old days when they were in power... and then all of them, will go back to killing each other.

What's left? another number on the death toll, the body count rises one. And people will fight on BBC whether this is the US, Islam, Dictatorship or simply the Ottoman's fault?

I really donno what to think right now, I'm spacing out and in, does it matter Why it had to happen? because, thats what we all seem to care about, Why it happened?

it's funny, once, months ago, I really thought that knowing the Why(s) was a mission on itself... now, I'm not quite sure... I'm not quite sure about anything really, I'm just not in the mood to weigh things... but I know for sure that these few lines were very true...
infornt of an obstacl:
Men = why is this probleme here ? who's fault is it?
Ants = how and with whom's help i can fix it?
there will always be a great diffrence between those who ask themsleves "WHY" and those who ask themselves "HOW"

I don't think he received a fair trial for many reasons.

Many of his lawyers were assasinated. His trial was a by product of in illegal occupation... and so on

He was responsible for the death of many, yes, but I can think of many others leaders with even more blood on their hands. Bush definitely fits that category, but will we ever see him sentenced for any of his doings?

i was never a fan for saddam or any arab leader but after watching the barbarity of the Trial and how uncivilized it was
the way that stupid judge shouts at the lawers the way he told Ramzey Clark to Get Out it was so painful

There's nothing as a "Fair trial" out there, you can always find some crapy details here or there.

"What's left? another number on the death toll, the body count rises one."

Exactly ... Humans are crazy..

that's nonsense Shady..
We should always strive for a better system.. Instead of hailing the verdict we should concentrate our efforts on making some very important and quite relevant facts known..
Like why are American soldiers not trialled for war crimes against the international court of justice?

The American invasion is directly responsible for far more civilian deaths than Saddam, but I never hear of any punishment given out to an American soldier or general.

Omar, I agree with everything you said. But my problem is that we are seeking "Justice", and I just don't believe it exists!

why are we so concerned with iraq and sadam ,
we should focus on whats going on in SYRIA ,thats what matters , because there are many sadams here in our country who should get a TRIAL, regardless of the trail's outcome

I agree with Omar about saddam not having a fair trial, but obviously what goes around comes around..and what he did to tho kurds was beyond the most atrocious of a humans acts of mayhem.
Yet Shady:of course human justice does not exist, however hard we try we'll never be fair.Thats why we should keep trying anyway till the day comes when we will all receive the fairest of trials.Just dont be pessimistic about it.God works in mysterious ways so when the going gets rough..we do the "right thing" and relax.leave it up to the higher power;)
To Zaher:it ruined mine as well,it was barbaric and uncivilized.considering the masterminds behind this whole scam
