Yes, we have the right to caricature God!

Yes we do!!!

I give my respect to Mr. Jacques Lefranc who sacrificed his carrier for his beliefs!

More on this:
French editor fired over cartoons - BBC News

Republishing the drawings is a snap at death threats!!
I do not support those caricatures nor did I feel they're anywhere near funny! But they're drawn with a pencil and a paper.. and a civilised response is by a pencil and a paper!!

Peaceful demostrations and boycott are a good sign, but the Ironic thing is that these very same ppl are being humiliated and tortured each and every day, not by Denmark rather their own country men!!
Why can't these ppl deomonstrate for their right to express, to Live!!

With all do respect, the Prophet is not more important than these issues!!!

Protestors burning the Danish and Norwegian embassies in Damascus.
A norwegian friend is asking, WHY?!
Anybody's up to such an answer?!

I have to agree with you on that one.

Totally with.

I am not undermining the value of protesting against the publishing and re-publishing of those cartoons. Such movements are necessary yet should have been done way earlier than 5 months after the drawings have been out to the public!

Closing down Danish embassies in the Arab world is a not exactly a good idea. Afterall there are many Arabs living decently in Denmark. Yet when everyone is so overly excited to boycott Danish products .. what do they boycott exactly? Butter???

If being a good muslim ( are all the boycotters REAL muslims??) means you are up to the challenge to live without Danish dairy prooducts, won't it be just as fair if you can withstand living without the all American, Israeli supporting ,CocaCola and McDonald's?

So howcome a few drops of ink on paper create such a fuss, while rivers of blood in the Arab world flow beside us in total silence?

Or is the nation of the prophet secondary and unimportant?

Their freedom of expression is normally to be accompaed by the diplomatic reactions and the boycotting of the Danish goods. I won't argue with that, but again once you accept the action, you must accept the reaction!

However, I'm so against other types of reactions (i.e. demonstartions in which Danish flags have been burned). Unofunately, things are starting to get out of hand and turn upside down! Now we've started to hear voices calling to kidnap and kill Danish and Norwagean(whatever the spelling is) people!

hi, this is an interesting blog... i just have to admit i agree about the right of expression.... i think the nonmuslims have the right to do what they think is their freedom, and they don't understand how our concept of not allowing the drwain of prophets or god. and it shudn't create that much of reactions... it makes the muslims look like too radical and idiots

Although I do believe that publishing these cartoons was wrong but it DOES NOT give us the right to repond to thier insult by an insult and burning their flag which has the cross on it!

We are just proving ourselves wrong, asking for them to respect our religion and not respecting theirs. And what happened yesterday in Syria was really out of hand.

But on the other hand each action has a reaction and continuing the publication of these cartoons and lately even in New zealand made people lose their minds.

Its quite out of hand now...

Dear “Front bumper”:
This is a very nice and thoughtful blog; I was so glad to see something like this written by a fellow Syrian. I'm a Syrian living overseas (in Europe) and I've been, like others, under such attacks (the European way of course, by questions and constructive critics, not threats and arson) demanding an explanation for our incomprehensible attitude and wild reactions!
I was glad to give some friends your blog’s address, plus “not in our name” post from Damascene blog, just to show them that not all of us think the same way!
Yes, they have the right o mock anything and everyone; I totally agree with that. It's not a normal or rational reaction to demonstrate in London, where you live as a refugee, and write on a big board “Behead those who mock Islam"!!!! “Europe is the cancer, Islam is the answer” !!! This is fu***** insane, have you seen the photos from those demonstrations? This is what I can really call offensive! If our masses of Moslem refugees who live EVERWHERE in Europe didn’t like European mentality and “morals”, then get the hell out of there back to your countries, but do not expect Europeans to adopt your own definition of morals and freedom while you live in THEIR countries!
Thank you for your blog and for your insight! And thanks for all those who didn't agree with burning the embassies in Damascus - You have no idea how much this is hurting us here - By "us", I don't mean the Syrians who live abroad, but I mean Syrians in general!
You are a great HUMAN for your attitude, for quoting this: "YES, WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO CARICATURE GOD", I do agree with you! Nothing and no one is flawless! I guess we should all thank Denmark and Norway for letting our angry, humiliated, trampled-on people empty their anger on their embassies! We tend to forget that the "cattle" that attacked the embassies consists of the very same ones who may attack churches or any other ethnic group or minority that doesn’t agree with their “logic”! It’s scary how Syria is changing and it’s freakingly scary to see how religion is being used and manipulated again by our government! “They couldn’t stop the demonstrators form burring the embassies”, as Syrian officials said!!! Of course, what if they hurt a demonstrator while trying to apprehend him? This never happens in our country as we all know! What if they try to stop an angry demonstrator and his feelings got hurt? This is something that our sensitive security forces will never do or stand even! COME ON, stop lying to us in this pathetic way! I wonder how many demonstrators would have returned home had the demonstrations been an anti-government one!!!
I hope to read soon your thoughts about the embassy attacks! Believe me; this little personal blogs are sometimes the only way to fix some of the huge damage that is being done by our officials!
I cried last night; I cried, I cried and cried when I saw my lovely Damascus burning and bearded men shouting Alah Akabr! I cried when I saw that I swear to you man! It hurts me like hell; and it should hurt any MOSLEM more than those silly cartoon published by a 3rd class news paper printed in local language 4 months ago!
Best luck to you and to your blog
I will become a constant visitor to this awesome blog if you don’t mind an “infidel” like me of course:):) lol

Amal, if more people would read your comments and insert the words 'christian' or 'jewish' or 'hindu' for the word 'muslim' then maybe all would BEGIN to understand the absurdity of the actions of zealots all over the world. Unfortunately all think their god or point of view is all that matters. I really wish your comment could be given WIDESPREAD exposure. Maybe it would make people stop and think for a while instead of blindly acting.

Ron from Kalifornia here:

Nice blog Front!!!!

This reaction by the crazed muzzies to the 5 month old cartoons --- caused the cartoons to be viewed by tens of millions more people around the world. It further ingrains in the minds of the non-Muslim world that the Muslims are a crazed culture unfit to be in civilized society. In fact Demark and a few other counties are deporting many Muslim immigrants that violate their laws or riot in the streets!! GO DENMARK!! Hope the rest o f the Euro countries will get smart like the Danes!!!!!

Another thing about all this rioting over the cartoons -- hell the press in the muzzie countries has published many anti- Jewish and anti-Christian articles and drawings!! We don’t go burn down their embassies.

Western religions generally preach love and peace -- I think the world is learning that the Mosques preach hatred and slaughter of all those not Muslim!!

Well conservative talk shows over here are advocating buying as many items make in Denmark and the other Scandinavian countries that the muzzies are boycotting, to help replace the market loss!!! Here’s some links – some have live streaming.

http://www.ksfo560.com/ Great morning shows – 5am to noon PST has listen live capability!! People from all over the world listen to the 5am -9am show!!

http://www.michellemalkin.com/ Check her site out she gave extensive coverage to the cartoon issue! See the cartoons and the crazed muzzies in action here!!

Ron -- Kalifornia

Here's who's behind all the riots!!

You will have to cut and past this into your browzer as well as the other ones I posted earlier!

What the stupid actions of the nutcase Muzzies will do is to make a stronger bond between Europe and the US!! Seems this is just another stunt by radical Iman to bring the war on the West to Europe!!! The Iman even had to make some phony cartoons because no one got excited about the orginal ones!!!
